Effective hair removal with diode laser
Triple-Wave Diode Laser is a modern and clinically proven method for permanent hair removal. By combining three different laser wavelengths in the same treatment, hair follicles can be reached at different depths and in different growth phases – providing both better coverage and long-lasting results. The method is safe, fast and adaptable to both light and dark skin, as well as different hair types.
The three wavelengths used are 755 nm, 808 nm and 1064 nm. By emitting all three simultaneously, multiple hair types and skin tones can be effectively treated in a single session – something that sets Triple-Wave Diode Laser apart from simpler techniques such as IPL.
755 nm – This wavelength targets lighter skin tones and thinner, but still pigmented hairs. It acts superficially on the skin and is effective in areas such as the upper lip, arms or bikini line. It is important to know that laser does not work on very light or fine hairs, as these hairs lack enough pigment to absorb the laser light.
808 nm – The most versatile wavelength, suitable for a wide range of skin types and hair colors. It penetrates deeper into the skin and targets hair follicles located further down, making it ideal for larger body areas such as legs, back and arms.
1064 nm – The deepest penetrating wavelength and the best choice for darker skin tones and coarser hair. It is gentle on the skin but very effective in reaching deep-lying hair follicles, reducing the risk of pigment changes on darker skin.
The laser light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle, converted into heat and destroys the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding skin. Since hair grows in cycles and laser treatments are most effective during the growth phase (anagen phase), multiple treatments are required, spaced a few weeks apart, to achieve complete and lasting results.
The number of sessions varies from person to person depending on skin type, hair color, hormonal influences and the area being treated. Generally, most clients see noticeable results after 6–12 treatments.
At Reborn Avenue in Helsingborg, we work with advanced diode lasers and extensive experience with different skin types. We tailor each treatment based on your conditions and goals – for a safe, gentle and effective path to smoother skin.

Laser Hair Removal- Questions & Answers
How many treatments are needed?
Most people need between 6–8 treatments, depending on skin type, hair color and the area being treated. It is important to follow a plan to hit the hair follicles in the correct growth phase.
Does the treatment hurt?
The experience varies from person to person, but the treatment is often described as a tingling, warm feeling against the skin. The darker and denser your hair growth, the more it may be felt – especially during the first few treatments. As the hair begins to thin, the treatment will gradually become more comfortable. Our equipment has built-in cooling which helps to relieve the heat and make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Can everyone do laser?
Triple-Wave Diode Lasers are suitable for many, but not all, skin and hair types. For the treatment to work, the hair shaft must contain enough pigment (melanin), because the laser targets the color in the hair follicle. Therefore, it does not work on gray, white, red or very light downy hair, as these hair types lack the pigment needed for the laser to be absorbed and effective.
The treatment is generally safe for skin types up to Fitzpatrick 4, but on skin type 5–6 (very dark to deep skin tone) There may be an increased risk of pigment changes. In these cases, we always make an individual assessment and work with the utmost caution to ensure a safe and effective result.
If you are unsure whether the treatment is right for you, we are happy to help you with a free consultation.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Yes, laser treatment permanently destroys hair follicles – the destroyed hairs do not grow back. However, dormant hair follicles that were not active at the time of treatment can become active later, often due to hormonal changes or genetics. Therefore, some new hair growth may occur over time, but it is usually significantly smaller and thinner than before. Many people experience a clear and lasting reduction after a course of treatment.
Does laser work on light, thin facial hair?
No, laser does not work on very light, thin or fine facial hair. These hairs lack enough pigment for the laser to be absorbed effectively, meaning the treatment will not produce the desired results.
If the hairs are too thin and light For safety reasons, we choose not to treat the face with laser.. In addition to the lack of effect, there is also a risk that dormant hair follicles are activated – which in some cases can lead to more hair starting to grow in the area. This can create a vicious circle with more unwanted hair growth than before. Therefore, we recommend other methods such as threading or waxing for this type of hair.
What happens after the treatment – and when does the hair fall out?
After the treatment, the skin may become slightly red and swollen around the hair follicles – this often resembles goosebumps and is completely normal. This usually goes away within a few hours.
The hair remains immediately after the treatment, but begins to fall out after 2–3 weeks, as the hair follicles break down. This is also when you usually start to notice the first results.
How often are the treatments done?
The treatments are done with 4–8 week interval, depending on the body area and the hair growth cycle.
What should I avoid afterwards?
Avoid sun, sauna, hot baths and exercise for at least 48 hours. Sun exposure should be avoided completely for at least 4 weeks and SPF 50 should be used daily.
Can you shave between treatments?
Yes, shaving is totally okay. However, avoid waxing, plucking or using an epilator, as this will remove the hair from the root and the laser will lose its target.
Do you get results immediately?
Many people notice a change already after first treatment, for example, hair growing more slowly or falling out more easily. But it is important to understand that hair grows in different cycles, and laser treatment is most effective in the active growth phase (anagen phase).
At treatment 2 Some people may experience less hair growth than expected – this is completely normal. New hair follicles that were previously dormant may have been activated, making it temporarily feel like the hair is ”coming back”. In treatment 3 and onwards You will usually start to see a clearer and more stable reduction in hair growth, and the results will become more noticeable after each session.
For best results, it is required a series of treatments, usually 6–8 treatments, tailored to your hair growth and skin type. Each treatment builds on the previous one, so patience and regularity are key to long-lasting and even results.
Is home laser as effective as salon treatments?
No, home laser devices are significantly weaker than professional machines and do not reach the same depth or effect in the skin. They can provide some superficial effect but are not comparable to salon equipment such as Triple-Wave Diode Lasers. For long-lasting and safe results, the right technique, powerful equipment and a therapist with knowledge of skin, hair and laser settings are required - something you get with us at Reborn Avenue.
Are there any contraindications for laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal should be avoided if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, open wounds, sunburned skin, or are taking medications that make the skin sensitive to light. The treatment is also not suitable for very light or gray hairs as they lack pigment.
Common contraindications also include skin cancer or a history of skin cancer, as well as keloid formation (tendency to scar). We always carefully assess your health status and skin type during the consultation to ensure that the treatment is safe and effective for you.
